Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards - DoLS

Susan Cassapi, IMCA DoLS Advocate

Since April 2009, Independent Mental Capacity Advocates (IMCAs) need to be trained in order to act as Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards IMCAs.

The Inclusive Access two day taught course on IMCA DoLS provides IMCAs with the knowledge they need to start practicing as IMCA DoLS.

The course includes practical sessions working on cases, role plays and discussions. Delivered by a practising IMCA DoLS, learners will get relevant, up-to-date information and have their questions answered by an advocate who is immersed in this specialist area of advocacy.

Course Details

The cost of the two day course is £300 + VAT and includes lunch and refreshments, a comprehensive course folder, and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Code of Practice.

The training takes place at our training venue in Wirral. However, for group bookings, we are happy to discuss delivering training in a venue of your choice.
