IMHA Taught Course

All advocates wishing to practise as IMHAs are required to attend comprehensive training on the role and the Mental Health Act legislation which gave rise to the IMHA role.

The Inclusive Access two day taught course on IMHA takes place at our training venue in Wirral or, for groups, we can deliver in your organisation.

Aim of an IMHA Course

The aim of the course is to equip advocates with the skills and knowledge to provide a quality IMHA service to their clients. Our small group sizes ensure that all learners have a chance to participate fully and raise any questions or challenges throughout the course. The course is a combination of knowledge transfer, practical sessions, discussions, and role plays giving advocates the opportunity to put the theory into practice.

The cost of the two day course is £300 + VAT and includes lunch and refreshments, a comprehensive course folder, and the Mental Health Act (1983) Code of Practice.
